The frame of Proton Exora, a Campro 1.6 CPS-powered engine was unveiled in conjunction with the nationwide Proton Technology Roadshow ahead of its scheduled April launch.
Proton organized a two day exhibition to display its latest research and development technology including Computer Engineering starting from February 25th to 26th.
Other activities also being carried out by Proton such as talk session with engineering experts on technology development over the past few years and trends in the automotive sector.
Proton also held interview sessions for students and the public for future recruitment with the company.
UTM, represented by its Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Ir. Dr. Zaini Ujang also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Proton’s Managing Director, Dato’ Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohd Tahir on collaboration in research on automotive advance technology ideas, exchange of staff for the purpose of R&D as well as education and to provide utilization of facilities.
Both organizations also agreed on exchanging information, publication and project related materials and also agreed to jointly organize seminars, conferences, workshops or courses.
Zaini in his statement said UTM is trying to look for collaboration opportunities with Proton.
“Besides sharing knowledge and facilities with Proton, UTM is also trying to expose the students of the latest developments and trends of the automotive industry,” he said.
